A museum with a very unusual collection.

The guitar that became furniture. The sketchbook with one very committed page. The message that starts “we should catch up” and never gets sent. These are the things we collect ideas about at the Museum of Almost. We are an online collection of practical invitations to revisit a curiosity, make room for a conversation, and try something without turning it into a grand project.

And the ladder?

It is our name for the next step that mysteriously disappears between having an idea and doing it. Perhaps the plan became too complicated. Perhaps nobody else was free. Perhaps the idea was never yours in the first place. There is no single culprit to expose. The useful question is what would make the next step small enough to take now.

The people part matters.

Some things are easier to begin with another person at the table. Our Find a Fellow Almost page lets adults register interest in shared activities, conversation circles, and accountability. A request is an invitation for us to contact you about relevant possibilities. Availability depends on location, preferences, and other interest; a match or event is never guaranteed.

Come curious. Leave with one small idea.

You can explore every room without signing up. Try a writing prompt, borrow a different routine, or take a tiny dare into your week. If an idea would be more enjoyable with company, tell us what you are interested in. The museum is a starting point, and your next step belongs to you.
